About
Alan Rose
I’m a dad, husband, and someone who’s spent a lifetime exploring what it means to live well, move well, and keep learning, especially in midlife.
My path hasn’t been straightforward; I’ve served in the Royal Navy, worked as a secondary school teacher, and for the past 25 years I’ve run my own events business, creating and managing sports events that bring people together.
Alongside that, I’m a physiotherapist and the founder of Nine Physio, where I help people move better, recover, and discover what their bodies are capable of. Over the years I’ve guided hundreds of people through injuries, setbacks, and the everyday struggles of wanting to feel strong and stay active while juggling the rest of life.
Sport and movement have always been part of who I am. Over the years I’ve taken on endurance events, Ironman triathlons, and Channel swims. Swimming has always been close to my heart, but I’ve also dabbled in CrossFit and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, enjoying the challenge of stepping into different worlds of movement.
These experiences taught me a lot about pushing limits, but just as importantly, about listening to your body, adapting, and finding joy in the process. They’ve shaped how I approach health, fitness, and curiosity in everyday life.
The Be Curious Project, and my book Be Curious, were born from this mix of personal exploration and professional experience. They’re designed to help you find your own small, curiosity led steps, whether that means building energy, healthier habits, or simply discovering what else might be possible.
Because it’s never too late to get curious about what matters to you.
