About

Alan Rose

I’m a dad, husband, and someone who’s spent a lifetime exploring what it means to live well, move well, and keep learning, especially in midlife.

My path here has been anything but linear. I’ve served in the Royal Navy, worked as a secondary school teacher, and for the past 25 years, I’ve run my own events business, creating and managing sports events that bring people together in the spirit of challenge and community.

Alongside that, I’m a physiotherapist and the founder of Nine Physio, where I help people move better, recover, and discover what their bodies are capable of. I’ve spent years guiding people through setbacks, injuries, and the everyday struggles that come with wanting to stay active and feel good while juggling the rest of life.

Sport and movement have always been a big part of who I am. I’ve been an endurance athlete and swimmer, whilst dablling in a variety of sports and I still find a lot of joy in various sports, including swimming in the cold sea near our Dorset home, and testing what’s possible, even in busy seasons of life.

But beyond the big races and finish lines, it’s the small, curious experiments that have taught me the most, about health, mindset, and what it means to keep moving forward, even on the imperfect days.

The Be Curious Project and my upcoming book, Be Curious, were born from this mix of professional experience and personal exploration. They’re designed to help you find your own small, curious steps, whether you want to improve your energy, build healthier habits, or simply discover what else might be possible.

Because it’s never too late to get curious about what matters to you.
